About this Campaign
Wimbledon Half Marathon & Mount Snowdon Climb
The campaign is dedicated to supporting impoverished children in Iraq, Yemen and India suffering from congenital heart defects by funding life-saving heart surgeries they cannot afford.
To maximise the impact of the #GIVE 2023 campaign, we have organised the participation of over 30 runners in the Wimbledon Half Marathon as well as the climb of Mount Snowden on the 28th of May 2023. We are committed to increasing the number of beneficiaries further through our campaign this year.
Congenital heart disease is a rapidly emerging global problem in child health. The pandemic has made it even more challenging for children in developing countries to access life-saving surgeries. In collaboration with our partners in Iraq and India, we identify children in need and safely arrange the entire transfer, surgery, return, and aftercare for them. The surgeries are conducted at Narayana Health City hospital, under the supervision of the world-renowned Dr. Devi Shetty.
We appreciate every donation to our #GIVE campaign, and your contribution will go directly towards covering the cost of the surgery, including the pre-op assessment, investigations, surgical procedure, and aftercare, including any ITU/ward stay until the child has fully recovered. Please join us in supporting this vital cause and giving hope to children in need.
In order to help cover our ever-increasing running costs, 10% of the money raised will go towards admin costs.
